So you’re researching and you’re convinced that everything is up-charged for a wedding… that everything is way more expensive just because it has wedding attached to it.

Now I cannot speak for other areas of the wedding business but lets debunk this for the hair and makeup portion.

PLANNING FOR SUCCESS!
You might think all that the hair and makeup artists does is arrive and do what we do best, but that’s definitely not the case. From the first initial inquiry that you send to us, theres a lot of communication involved with gathering information about your wedding. For example: like what time is your first look and where the getting ready location is. From there its planning a date/time for your trial, planning who your artists will be, and planning a timeline for your morning! There’s a ton of back end work that you do not know about to ensure a smooth and flawless morning!

COMMUNICATION IS KEY!
There are countless of hours replying to questions, asking questions and sending you important information for a stress free morning. I always make an effort to make sure every client (and future clients!) know what the next steps are and never questioning our intentions. Here is an example timeline of what to expect when you become a LHNBEAUTY bride!

BOOKED - 6 MONTHS before the wedding // Gathering details of your wedding like vendors you will be working with and times you your bridal party will need to be ready by.

3 MONTHS - 6 MONTHS before the wedding // Assigning your hair and makeup artists and coordinating/scheduling for your trial!
3 WEEKS - 1 MONTH before the wedding // Getting names of all your bridesmaids and creating a beauty timeline for the morning!
2 WEEKS before the wedding // Sending out important reminders and a beauty tips PDF!
WEEK OF WEDDING! // I will send you the final timeline in a PDF form, artists contact information and last minute reminders!

During this timeline, I also make it a point to send out helpful information that will give you the best skin and hair to achieve your look. Beauty is a long term investment and we understand that -whether you want to jumpstart your getting long lucious hair or that glowing from within skin is up to you. We are here to help support you along the way!

EASY, BREEZY MORNING!
When the day finally comes you can be confident that when we walk into the venue, hotel or home -we are ready! Something I’m really proud of is that my team and I are really great at keeping on time. Now I know sometimes things come up but we’ve already covered that in our timeline (I always schedule buffer time)!! Just sit back, relax, sip some champagne and be prepared to get pampered!

With all hair and makeup companies specializing in weddings -we all do a lot of planning, a lot of communicating and a lot of organizing. This is to ensure that you, the bride, have the most fun and stress free morning! With regular appointments, theres not much to coordinate other than a date/time and location. So with our time and efforts to make sure we have all the details just right, coordinating with your wedding planner or photographer, and bringing your vision to life -this is why wedding hair and makeup is more expensive than a regular appointment!
